As usual, the event had been sold out for months, and 140 golfers played.  Golfers received premium gift bags, a great brunch and a splendid dinner featuring a raw bar of unlimited oysters and clams on the half-shell.  The benefit auction offered attractive packages of golf outings, restaurant certificates, a weekend stay in New York City and an NFL football signed by Ray Lewis of the Ravens.  Other exciting features were a 50/50 raffle, a drawing for a spectacular “Wheelbarrow of Cheer” and a chance to sink a 50’ putt for $10,000 in cash.  For these and many other reasons, the Benedictine Charity Golf Classic is one of the region’s premiere golf tournaments.

Sister Jeannette said, “Our golfers, volunteers, and sponsors are some of Benedictine’s best friends. They come back together year after year, for 23 years now. They are a part of our family, a network of support which is a great blessing to us all. We count on the folks who support an event like this tournament to make it possible to improve the lives of more children who need it.”
