Additional Day Services

The Open Community Program offers additional opportunities to participate in organized therapeutic activities.  Activities may include, but are not limited to: weekly swimming sessions, movement and flexibility, therapeutic horseback riding, personal training, and Special Olympics.

Group activities are added to meet the specific needs of individuals, and are provided for only those individuals who meet the criteria for participation.  Group activities are designed to enhance the work experience, encourage peer support, provide staff role modeling, and improve quality of life for individuals. 

  • Weekly Stress Management Group: provides a forum for targeted individuals to learn adaptive coping skills for work related stress and tension.
  • L.E.A.D.S: Learning to Excel, Achieve, and Develop Success provides weekly supports in pre-employment education.
  • LOL: Laugh Out Loud Club provides relaxing group topics and activities at the end of the work day.
