Below is a federal government web site with lots of helpful information. In addition, you can sign up to have new information emailed to you as frequently as you want (daily, weekly, etc.) Please feel free to share this information with others.
• Disability.gov (www.disability.gov) is the federal government’s web site for disability-related information and resources. The site is managed by the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) in conjunction with 21 federal partner agencies. Disability.gov provides comprehensive information about disability-related programs, services, laws and benefits to Americans with disabilities, their families, Veterans, educators, employers and caregivers.  Resources from federal, state and local government agencies; educational institutions; and non-profit organizations are added daily across 10 main subject areas – benefits, civil rights, community life, education, emergency preparedness, employment, health, housing, technology and transportation.
• The web site's Education section (http://www.disability.gov/education) provides hundreds of links to resources for educators, parents and students on topics such as special education, school-to-work transition for youth with disabilities and education-related laws and regulations. Information of particular interest to educators and service providers includes resources on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), college opportunities for students with disabilities and assistive technology. Recently added personalization tools make Disability.gov the first federal government web site of its kind, enabling visitors to vote and comment on resources, have resources recommended to them based on other links they have viewed on the site and participate in online discussion groups where they can post questions and comments.
• Visitors can register for a My Disability.gov profile at http://www.disability.gov/register. Visitors can also suggest resources to be added to Disability.gov by going to http://www.disability.gov/suggestedResource/create.
