The site is managed by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) in conjunction with 21 federal partner agencies. Disability.gov provides comprehensive information about disability-related programs, services, laws and benefits to Americans with disabilities, their families, Veterans, educators, employers and caregivers. Resources from federal, state and local government agencies; educational institutions; and non-profit organizations are added daily across 10 main subject areas – benefits, civil rights, community life, education, emergency preparedness, employment, health, housing, technology and transportation.
• The web site’s Education section (http://www.disability.gov/education) provides hundreds of links to resources for educators, parents and students on topics such as special education, school-to-work transition for youth with disabilities and education-related laws and regulations.
