The Benedictine School
The Benedictine School offers co-ed day residential and educational programs for individuals ages 5-21 with intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, and autism.
Each child’s unique needs are met with high staff to student ratios and a multidisciplinary approach using research-based methods and techniques implementing MSDE approved curriculum. We believe that each student’s greatest potential is achieved through a collaborative, holistic team approach building on the abilities, strengths, and interests of each child.
Benedictine students are integral members of the community with frequent opportunities to apply learned living and social skills in natural community settings. Students shop, go out for meals and movies, visit the park or library, play sports and share in local community events.
We are certified by The Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) for our day program and The Department of Human Services (DHS) for our residential program, with some homes licensed by The Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH).
