Sysco & Herr’s Recognized for 10 Years of Support for Benedictine’s Swim Meet

For ten years Sysco in Pocomoke City, Md., and Herr’s in Seaford, De., have come together to make Benedictine Programs and Services’ annual swim meet a fun-filled event for all through the generous donation of food items.

The relationship started a decade ago when Benedictine began hosting Special Olympics sanctioned swim events at the School’s campus in Ridgely, Md. This month the school will host an in-house swim meet for the children and adults with developmental disabilities served here.

“They take care of everything from burgers to beans and chips, and we are grateful for their continued support each year,” said Bobby Ebling, aquatic instructor.

Donations from Sysco and Herr’s will provide meals to 400 students, staff and family members attending this year’s swim meet.
